Winter at Camp

Friday, February 20th, 2009

The team at International Summer Camp Montana hopes that wherever you are, the year has started well for you.

The winter here in Crans-Montana is in full swing, there has been a lot of snow in the past few weeks. The whole camp is covered in snow and looks very different than during the summer. We have pasted some photos for you to see.

Do you recognise the camp under all the snow?

Behind the scenes

Monday, September 8th, 2008

Behind the scenes at La Moubra we have 60 house staff who work very hard to maintain the high quality of service and comfort that International Summer Camp offers to its young guests.

Our house staff consists of many different departments including, kitchen, housekeeping, maintenance, garden, and laundry.

We had a barbecue to thank them for all their work on Friday 5th September.

Please see below for the pictures of the beautiful afternoon and our photo gallery.

The Colour Olympics

Saturday, August 9th, 2008

The second Sunday of each session we organize the “Colour Olympics”, a set of fun outdoor activities, like the slide, that is one of our campers’ favorite as you can see in this video:

This video has also been published in our new YouTube channel where we are going to publish more fun camp videos.

Back to ISCM Opening Ceremony in 1977

Sunday, July 13th, 2008

Jan Hendrik, a senior boy attending International Summer Camp Montana for the first time, gave me a letter a few days ago.

In there was a note from his mother, who attended our camp in 1977. She describes the good times she had and how much she hopes her son does too!

Together with the letter was a photo of the opening ceremony of the third session in 1977:

On the left end is Erwin Mathieu, administrator of the camp. The little boy with the stroller is me (Philippe Studer, present Camp Director). In the middle are Erica and Rudy Studer, my parents.
