The Camp owner and director Philippe Studer recently returned from a promotional trip to different cities in China. Mr Studer began his trip in Hong Kong and then visited Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Beijing and Shanghai.

During this trip he had the opportunity to meet new campers that will attend camp this up and coming summer as well as some interested families.

We are very happy to welcome campers form a big country like China to International Summer Camp Montana  and enhance our already international environment!

This summer we will welcome campers form over 50 different countries including some 25 campers from China.

As you can see from the photos the sky is blue and the weather is warm

and the second session of International Summer Camp Montana is off to a roaring start!!

Jan Hendrik, a senior boy attending International Summer Camp Montana for the first time, gave me a letter a few days ago.

In there was a note from his mother, who attended our camp in 1977. She describes the good times she had and how much she hopes her son does too!

Together with the letter was a photo of the opening ceremony of the third session in 1977:

On the left end is Erwin Mathieu, administrator of the camp. The little boy with the stroller is me (Philippe Studer, present Camp Director). In the middle are Erica and Rudy Studer, my parents.

This past winter I went for the first time to China.

International Summer Camp Montana welcomes boys and girls from all over the world, but at the present time only few chinese families send their children to our camp.

We would like to have more guests from China to expand our international community, and because of this we already have our brochure translated into chinese!

A journalist from the chinese magazine “Bizmode” made me an interview. The subject of the article was the Studer – Mathieu family, the history of the camp and how we plan to develop our business, especially in China.
