Last departure day for summer 2011

Saturday, August 27th, 2011

Today is our last departure day for the summer where we say goodbye to our campers and summer staff. We hope that next summer we will be able to welcome them all back again for another fun filled summer in Crans-Montana.
Below you will find a photo of a group of Chinese campers who enjoyed their stay at International Summer Camp Montana.

Like many of our campers they will also travel to Geneva airport to take their flight home to China.
Looking forward to see you all again soon.
Bon voyage!

Wishing you all a very Happy New Year!

Friday, January 14th, 2011

We at International Summer Camp Montana would like to wish everyone a very happy and healthy New Year!

As some of you may know, 2011 signals a very special year for everyone involved with International Summer Camp Montana.  This coming summer will mark the 50th year that children from all over the world will have come to ISCM, leaving with unforgettable memories and everlasting friendships.

Every week during our ‘Golden Jubilee’ year, we will be bringing you regular information about the Camp’s activities, news, events… and of course, our Camp’s community: campers, parents, staff and alumni.  Moreover, in the next few weeks we will be communicating some very important and exciting changes to Camp for this coming summer.  The blog will even begin an ‘A-Z’ of International Summer Camp Montana and you might also learn something new from our ’50 Fascinating Facts’ about the Camp.

As always, if you have any questions, queries or comments regarding this blog or anything to do with International Summer Camp Montana, please do not hesitate to contact us.

New rooms for the oldest senior boys

Friday, November 27th, 2009

As of June 2010 the Résidence Erica in front of our main building will be ready to welcome staff as well as some campers.

The garden floor of this beautiful building will be home for our oldest senior boys. Those six rooms are all facing south and have a large terrace. Each unit has its own shower/bathroom as well as a separated toilet. They are also equipped with a large fridge where the boys can chill their soft drinks.

We are sure that those lucky campers will love those rooms.

Here is a drawing of this house with the garden floor rooms’ windows marked in blue.

Yoga at ISCM

Monday, November 23rd, 2009

There will be a new activity at International Summer Camp Montana as from the summer 2010; Yoga!

The benefits of Yoga are numerous. Just to mention a few: better body balance, flexibility and strength, smoother breathing, good stress management and relaxation in general.

The Yoga classes at camp will be adapted to the age and to the physical capacity of the campers. It is a fun activity that can be of use for young adults as they grow in today’s challenging environment.

Here are a few photos of our camp Director Philippe Studer and his yoga teacher Mrs Catherine Lude on the camp terrace practicing yoga.

Room Inspection

Thursday, September 10th, 2009

Every day before they begin the day’s activities all campers, tidy their rooms make their beds and put their belongings in order. Later in the day the camp cleaning staff will also pass by to clean the room.

In the morning there is a room inspection and the rooms who receive excellent marks have a special treat during one of their evening meals. Some groups take this very seriously and take on the challenge to do their best to get the top score of 25 points

You will see here the junior room inspection score sheet from this summer and also the photos of room N° 1 in the junior chalet. As you can see almost all rooms made it to 25 points!

Great work juniors!!
