New rooms for the oldest senior boys

Friday, November 27th, 2009

As of June 2010 the Résidence Erica in front of our main building will be ready to welcome staff as well as some campers.

The garden floor of this beautiful building will be home for our oldest senior boys. Those six rooms are all facing south and have a large terrace. Each unit has its own shower/bathroom as well as a separated toilet. They are also equipped with a large fridge where the boys can chill their soft drinks.

We are sure that those lucky campers will love those rooms.

Here is a drawing of this house with the garden floor rooms’ windows marked in blue.

There will be a new activity at International Summer Camp Montana as from the summer 2010; Yoga!

The benefits of Yoga are numerous. Just to mention a few: better body balance, flexibility and strength, smoother breathing, good stress management and relaxation in general.

The Yoga classes at camp will be adapted to the age and to the physical capacity of the campers. It is a fun activity that can be of use for young adults as they grow in today’s challenging environment.

Here are a few photos of our camp Director Philippe Studer and his yoga teacher Mrs Catherine Lude on the camp terrace practicing yoga.

News from the Laundry

Friday, February 20th, 2009

In a few weeks we will be sending to the campers enrolled for summer 2009 the camp kit which has information for campers and parents. One of the very important items in the camp kit is the laundry numbers.
These will need to be sewn on to all the clothes that campers bring to camp.

As you might know we provide laundry service. In order to be more efficient the camp has invested in a brand new, very large washing machine and dryer. The washing machine fits 45kg of clothing, that’s 10 times bigger than your machine at home! If you don’t want your clothes to get lost in there make sure that you have the laundry numbers sewn on your clothing.

Circus Tent at ISCM

Monday, August 4th, 2008

In 2007, we wanted to start a whole new set of fun and creative activities for our campers by installing … A Circus Tent!

You can take a look of the pictures where you will be able to see how the circus tent was installed… it was amazing!

A professional artist introduces campers to juggling, acrobatics, tightrope walking and balancing.

The circus tent also serves as an ideal location to organize many activities like movie nights, stunt nights, fashion shows.. among many others!

Please, visit our photo gallery to see more pictures of the Circus Tent.
