Welcome to readers both new and regular of the International Summer Camp Montana blog .  The end of May is fast approaching and it is hard to believe that we will already be in the month of June from Wednesday of this week!  This means that there are only a few weeks left before all our staff for the 2011 season will arrive and we welcome our campers for 1st, 2nd and 3rd sessions!  We are all getting very excited here in Crans-Montana!

In this week’s blog we will introduce a venue at camp to relax, unwind and chill-out;  this place is the Camp Cafe.  The Camp Cafe can be found in the Tennis Centre and is open to everyone at International Summer Camp Montana.  The Cafe area is very spacious and can easily accommodate a whole section of campers and counsellors.  It is actually used as a venue for evening and special activities quite frequently!

During the day, visitors to Camp Cafe are afforded a lots of space and there are lots of comfortable seats and tables to gather with your friends.  Moreover, there is a pool table for those who wish to show off their skills on the baize, as well as a large screen television for those in a more ‘relaxed’ mood.  There is even the possibility to watch people playing tennis, badminton and other activities in the main hall of the Tennis Centre.  The large windows looking out on to the hall afford a great view of all the action indoors.  There is even a balcony for those of us who prefer to sit outdoors and keep breathing in the fresh Valais air!  And, for those who just can’t stay sitting for long, there is even the possibility to play a game of petanque in the area just beside Camp Cafe!

There are a variety of drinks and snacks that can be purchased at Camp Cafe; no matter what you desire, we have something for everyone!  Whether it is a soft drink or water to help you cool down, or a tea or coffee to give you a quick ‘boost’, you’ll find something to quench your thirst!  In addition there are plenty of different types of chips or ice-creams to fill that gap before the next meal time.

The Camp Cafe is a perfect place to relax and spend time with friends during free-time at International Summer Camp Montana.  The best thing about it is that it’s just a short walk from anywhere on Camp grounds!  All that remains to be said is we’re looking forward to seeing you there!
