Welcome back to the International Summer Camp Montana blog.  The summer time will be soon upon us and no matter where you are spending your holidays, remember to pack essentials such as sunscreen, swimming costume and a rain jacket (just in case!).  However, if you are coming to ISCM this year, certainly don’t forget the 3 things mentioned above!

This week’s blog focuses on the evening entertainment and activities provided at camp.  After a long day of either playing sports, hiking in the beautiful Swiss countryside or an excursion to an exciting new place, it is amazing how much energy our campers still have!

Therefore, we offer a varied and exciting evening program for each section of campers to ensure that they have as much fun during the evening as during their day!  Our evening activities take place in many different venues in camp as we are fortunate to have lots of space.  Moreover, age groups are never mixed during the evening; similar to the way the program is run during the day at ISCM.

For our Juniors campers, there are lots of fun things organised during the evening!   As the Junior section are a slightly smaller group, many of the activities take place in and around the Junior chalet.  Some of the most popular Junior activities are the ‘Counsellor Hunt’, ‘Massive Bingo’ and ‘Entertain the Specialists’!

The Pioneers section always have lots of energy and are therefore given a little more ‘room’ to be active during their evening program.  This section has many high-energy and high involvement activities and some of the highlights include ‘Capture the Flag’, ‘Pioneer Olympics’ and of course ‘The Price Is Right’!

The Champions are the new section at International Summer Camp Montana this year and their exact evening program is in the process of being finalised.  It is needless to say that activities such as the ‘Casino Night’, ‘Movie Night’ and ‘The Champion Disco’ are always enjoyed by everyone!

The Seniors section is unique because it has some special evening activities that no other section at camp has.  This includes the excitement of being taken (supervised) to a local discotheque called ‘Xellent’ 3 times during the session!  Other activities such as ‘Quest’ and ‘Vegas Night’ are always appreciated by our Senior campers!

There really is a fantastic variety of activities for campers of all ages during the evenings at ISCM.  It’s guaranteed that almost everyone is ready for sleep when it comes to bedtime; including the counsellors and specialists!  Our campers are kept busy from first thing in the morning until shortly before it is time for bed.  There isn’t much time left but to prepare to do it all again tomorrow!
