H is for……….Horses

Camp's A - ZOne animal is very closely associated with the history of International Summer Camp Montana; this animal is the horse.  One of the first sights you will see when arriving at the drive of La Moubra is the magnificent horse statue that greets you.  In addition, horse riding was an activity that was dear to Rudy Studer’s heart, as he himself was a fine horseman.  The passion for horse riding still runs through the Studer-Mathieu today; Tania Mathieu, future Camp Director, is a talented horsewomen.  The horse riding activity is still an integral part of the program for Seniors and Champions, with pony riding being offered as part of the program for Pioneers and Juniors.  And for those with a really keen interest, there is always a chance to participate more in free time or even in our horse show at the end of each session!
