50 Facts - Summer Camp Montana
In previous blog posts we have spoken about some of the buildings at International Summer Camp Montana and when they were built.  However, there are more than the ones that we have mentioned!

Do you know how many buildings there are on Camp grounds and how many of these can you name?!
We will reveal the answer to this week’s ‘Fascinating Fact’ in next week’s blog!

Last week’s fact – What are the two traditional Swiss national hot dishes?

A.

The Swiss are known all over the World as producing quality goods and food is certainly no different.  Switzerland is a country rich in farm land and this makes it a perfect place for many forms of agriculture, including dairy farming.  Not only is milk used in the production of chocolate, but Switzerland also uses its milk to produce a fantastic variety of cheeses.  And, the two traditional hot dishes that are most common in Switzerland have cheese as a key ingredient; FONDUE and RACLETTE.

Fondue is a dish is probably best recognised served with cheese and bread.  However, there are lots of different varieties of fondue; tomato, beef and even chocolate to name but a few!

Raclette is also a dish that is served with a special cheese (called raclette).  The raclette is traditionally heated on an open fire, then scraped onto a plate being served with bread, pickled onion and gherkins.  If you have ever been on the overnight hike, you’ve probably been served and tasted raclette in the traditional way!
