Dear Parents, Dear Campers,
This Sunday June 26th will be the arrival day of our first session of summer 2016. This entire week all our sports specialists and counselors have been here at camp for an orientation and training week. They will all be ready to welcome our campers this week-end.
The pool is also nice and warm. Some staff members enjoyed a relaxing moment after a long day of meetings and sports.
See you all very soon.
Your Camp Directors.

International Summer Camp Montana in Switzerland has been a member of International Camping Fellowship for many years already. The Camp Owners and Directors meet on a regular basis and discuss different issues about summer camps. A major event will be this year a meeting in Japan. The President and the General Secretary of ICF sent us a certificate that you will find here bellow.

We just found this publicity for Swatch in a Swiss magazine.
“I always want more friends”
Camp is definitely one of the best places to see friends from previous years and to make new friends.
Where will you be this summer?
Also, did you know that a fantastic Swatch shop opened in Crans-Montana last year?

We are pleased to tell you that Camp Director Philippe Studer had a fantastic time during his recent visit to China. He returned home to Switzerland last week and will certainly have many good stories to tell everyone at La Moubra!
His trip took him to 9 different cities in just under two weeks – Hong Kong, Zhongshan, Shunde, Shenzhen, Nanning, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Tianjin and Beijing. Special thanks should once again go to DIADEMA and Carol Chen for organising his itinerary.
During this visit Philippe met with many families whom have sent their children to Camp in the past and he also had the opportunity to meet with others whom will be coming in the future too. It is always great for us to catch up with our Campers in their home countries.
As you can see from the selection of pictures below, Philippe ate dinner with familiar faces in Tianjin and was honoured to receive a present – 4 traditional Chinese masks – which he will now keep at Camp as a memory of this fantastic trip to China!

International Summer Camp Montana is truly an ‘International’ place for children to spend their summers; each summer we welcome Campers from over 50 different nations to Crans-Montana. That’s a lot of culture, language and air miles to get to Switzerland!
The Camp owners and Directors also like to travel around the World to meet the families already connected to Camp, in addition to new families who are interested in finding out more about ISCM. During the first two weeks of March, Philippe Studer (one of the Camp owners and Directors) will visit China to meet children that will attend our program and as well as their parents.
If you have a good memory, you will remember that this is not the first time that Philippe has visited China. This will be his 4th visit and his first since February 2011. Click here to read the blog article about the last time that he was there.
China is one of the largest countries in the World and Philippe’s journey will take him to no less that 9 different cities – Hong Kong, Zhongshan, Shunde, Shenzhen, Nanning, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Tianjin and Beijing. We are sure you’ll agree, that’s a lot of places to see in just 2 weeks!
All of Philippe’s travel is being organized by DIADEMA (an exclusive travel agency), which is a Chinese company that ISCM has partnered with for many years. The majority of our Campers from China have come to Camp through DIADEMA and should you wish to find out more about the services that they offer, please contact Carol Chen for details on firstname.lastname@example.org .
Whilst we always like to take a little piece of Switzerland around the World to any ISCM event, this is the Chinese year of the monkey….so we couldn’t resist the chance to join in the celebrations with our very own special group of soft monkeys! Have a look at the short video message below that Philippe has for all of our Chinese friends before the start of his trip.
